Driver abducts, kills landlord’s eight-year-old son

Kathmandu, Nov 29 (RSS): A vehicle driver abducted and killed eight-year-old son of his landlord in the central capital city over a salary row, said the police.
Mahendra Sarki of Bhirkot Municipality-7 in Syangja kidnapped and murdered Prayas, son of Prabin Kunwar, the owner of Swastik Tribeni Guest House at Birendra-Aiswayamarga in Gongabu. Sarki was driving the guest house's vehicle for the past one month. He is currently living at Mitranagar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
The incident came to light following the arrest of Sarki on Thursday, said Senior Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.
The police had intensified the search for the child's murderer(s) for the past two days after being informed of the child's abduction. "The investigations are underway. Sarki has accepted the crime during the preliminary investigations," said SSP Singh.
Sarki had abducted Prayas on November 27 using the vehicle he was driving for the guest house. He was taken to Nagarjun forest at around 6:45 pm the same evening where he was strangled to death and dumped in local Samakhusi river.
Prayas's body was recovered from under the Maipi bridge in Gongabu.
Whether the ransom money was demanded or not still remains unknown. The motive behind the murder was animosity with the family members and job and salary row, said Sarki.
